In news that might not sound out of place for Melbourne, a ‘hipster Santa’ has been spotted in the equally hip state of Portland. Spotted in a local shopping mall, this Santa (presumably at the specific request of some marketing team) has decided to forgo the traditional red tracksuit and hat, and instead is rocking a cardigan, jeans, and (the piece de resistance) his flowing white hair tied up in a man bun. And instead of your standard festive props, old mate is surrounded by wares that you might normally find in any inner-city Melbourne home—old-school typewriter, potted succulent, and ironic framed embroidery.
